Office of Graduate and Continuing Education
In August, Augustana announced the addition of its first Office of Graduate and Continuing Education.
Led by South Dakota native Dr. Jerry Jorgensen, the Office will provide leadership to Augustana’s existing graduate and continuing education programs and will also facilitate the development and implementation of new programming. Working alongside faculty, staff and Augustana’s new Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Office will also work to build collaborative educational programming with businesses, healthcare, education and other organizations throughout the region.
Guided by Horizons 2019, Augustana’s five-year strategic plan, new graduate programs in genetic counseling and public accountancy are under development, with anticipated launch dates of fall 2016. These programs will join current master’s programs in Education and Sports Administration and Leadership.
Also per its strategic plan, Augustana aims to grow its continuing education programming with more workshops, seminars and certificate programs designed for working professionals and lifelong learners.
