With an average class size of 23 and a student-faculty ratio of 13:1, interaction between students and faculty is not only possible but mandatory. Every student at Augustana has a faculty advisor who aids the student in course selection from freshman year to graduation day. Advisors also counsel students on graduate programs and career goals.

Every class is taught by an Augustana professor, never a graduate Teaching Assistant, from introductory classes to advanced research studies. Even in larger introductory classes, multiple laboratory component sessions are offered to ensure close student-faculty interaction.
