Tuition and Transfer Credits
Refer to the following tuition and transfer credit information for the online Master of Arts in Education degree program.
Per credit costs are determined by cohort. Students entering the program in a particular term will have the same rate of tution throughout the program.
- Fall 2016 — Tuition is $395 per credit. Including the $60 application fee, the complete cost of the 30-credit degree program is $11,900.
- Spring 2017 — Tuition is $395 per credit. Including the $60 application fee, the complete cost of the 30-credit degree program is $11,900.
As described in the Augustana graduate catalog, students may transfer up to 9 credits from accredited institutions (colleges and universities), or 3 credits of transcripted workshop credits, granted they are previously approved as relevant to the student’s plan of study by the Program Director and Director of Graduate Education (some restrictions apply, as outlined in the graduate catalog). This applies to core as well as concentration courses.
DIfferent types of transfer courses into the MA in Education program (previously-taken or current enrollment):
- Course from an accredited institution (e.g., the University of South Dakota). Up to 9 credits permitted for course work completed within the past 7 years.
- Learners Edge Continuing Education course. Up to three credits allowed. (Current students are not allowed to apply Continuing Education courses to the program.)
