Letter from Department Chair
Augustana College Department of Nursing has a seventy-year history of producing excellent nurses who, throughout the years, have provided patient care, leadership in health care institutions and nursing education, and advanced the art and science of nursing in research throughout the United States. We are dedicated to continuing our legacy of preparing students in clinical judgment and reasoning in an environment of excellence.
Recognized for their expertise in many areas, the Augustana nursing faculty members are esteemed by the local and regional health care providers and agencies. The dedicated faculty are active in teaching, clinical practice and research. Consistent high NCLEX pass rates leading to licensing as a registered nurse, including 100 percent of the 2012 and 2013 graduates, and 97% of the 2014 graduates assures students that the nursing education at Augustana College prepares them to address complex issues in health and health care.
Augustana's faculty teach both in the classroom and in the clinical setting, preparing students to work and lead in the dynamic health care environment of today and of the future. We welcome your interest in nursing education at Augustana College.
