The 125,000-square-foot Dr. Sven G. Froiland Science Complex is the largest and most sophisticated building endeavor in Augustana's history, designed to support the growing number of natural science majors and the University's student-faculty research program.

The initiative plans for a 41,000-square-foot addition to the existing Gilbert Science Center, along with a complete renovation of the current facility. The building will named in honor of Dr. Sven Froiland, a longtime biology professor and a champion of scientific research at Augustana.
