Community Service Day-September 22nd- Community Service Day is an Augustana tradition that was once held in the spring, but now provides Augustana with unique way to kick-off our fall volunteer events. Each fall over 400 students, faculty, and staff head out into the Sioux Falls community and work to serve over 25 different organizations.
Volunteer Services and Serving and Learning Together (SALT) are currently accepting project for the day and would love to help out your organization. If you would like your organization to be apart of our fall Community Service Day please contact Billy Thomas or SALT.
Langskip 5k run- October 6th- this is the inaugural run which will be held during Viking Days. Volunteers are needed starting at 7:30AM-9:00AM. For more information visit www.langskip5k.com
Christmas Giving 2012- Each year Augie students, faculty, staff and administration collect gifts that are wrapped and taken to local volunteer agencies. This is an Augustana tradition that helps provide Christmas to many families and children throughout the Sioux Falls Area, This year the campus community can look forward Christmas giving trees being up around campus from the middle of November until the week before finals in December.
