Augustana student-athletes compete on 16 teams at the NCAA Division II level. The Vikings have won 28 conference championships and produced 10 individual national champions, plus 40 Academic All-Americans and 23 NCAA Post-Graduate Scholars.

Varsity and recreational athletes alike have access to facilities that include a weight room/fitness center, a swimming pool, saunas, a multipurpose wrestling/aerobics/martial arts room, an indoor track, a batting cage, and courts for basketball, volleyball, racquetball and tennis.
