DED Points

Winners of each of the individual events will get their picture taken and placed online. At the end of the year, the floor that has accrued the most points will be declared the winner! The winning team will receive Dog Eat Dog Champion T-shirts and have their picture placed on the DED "Wall of Champions".

Points will be awarded for each event on the following basis:

  • Participation in an event: 10pts
  • Completion of an event with a sportsmanship rating of 10: 5pts
  • 1st place finish: 20pts
  • 2nd place finish: 16pts
  • 3rd place finish: 12pts
  • 4th place finish: 8pts
  • 5th place finish: 4pts
  • 6th place finish: 1pt

The following events will be scored in a different manner than those above. 

 

Triathlon

Individual participation and completion: 15 pts

Three-person team participation and completion: 10pts

Individual Competition:

  • 1st place: 20pts
  • 2nd place: 16pts
  • 3rd place: 12pts
  • 4th place: 10pts
  • 5th place: 8pts
  • 6th place: 6pts
  • 7th place: 4pts
  • 8th place: 2pts

Team Competition:

  • 1st place: 10pts
  • 2nd place: 8pts
  • 3rd place: 6pts
  • 4th place: 4pts
  • 5th place: 3pts
  • 6th place: 1pt

Late Night Attendance

Points will be awarded for members attending Late Night events as follows:

  • Three - Five attendees: 1 pt
  • Six - Seven attendees: 2 pts
  • Eight or More attendees: 3 pts

Event Spectator Points

Points will be awarded for members from your floor that spectate at events but do not participate as followed:

  • Three - Five attendees: 1pt
  • Six - Seven attendees: 2 pts
  • Eight or More attendees: 3 pts

These points will be accumulated throughout the school year. The team with the highest point total at the end of the year will be awarded Dog-Eat-Dog Champion T-shirts.

Dog Eat Dog teams are composed of people living on the same residence hall floor or together in a Theme House or on campus apartment building (Duluth Apartments/Schoneman/Nelson/Balcer Apartments).
Players must play with the same floor for the duration of the school year (if they switch to a different floor, they are not eligible to play with that floor unless they have not yet participated with their previous floor).

Off campus students are allowed to participate in this competition.
