Rarely seen works from the Center's own collection are on display through Saturday, Oct. 17, in the Fantle Building. A free reception was held Thursday, Sept. 10, from 4 - 6:30 p.m., in conjunction with the opening reception for "Voices of the Northern Plains."
The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery presents Ceramics by Jeffrey Oestreich beginning Thursday, Sept. 10, through Saturday, Oct. 10. A gallery reception was held on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Students present on their various home countries at 3 p.m. on Fridays as part of the Rendezvous Program. The events, which are hosted by the International Program Office and Augustana International Club, are free and open to the public.
Dr. Mitch Harris, associate professor of English, and tenor Dr. Russell Svenningsen, assistant professor of music and director of the Collegiate Chorale at Augustana, will present a lecture-recital at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, in Kresge Recital Hall.
Members of the Augustana community will partner with the American Red Cross, the City of Sioux Falls, and the University of Sioux Falls on a Growing Resilient Project, an initiative designed to help local neighborhoods respond to disasters and reduce deaths and injuries from home fires. More details will be announced at a news conference on Thursday, Oct. 8. The Community Resiliency day is set for Saturday, Oct. 10.
Augustana is pleased to welcome poet and author Brian Turner to speak at the 2015 Iverson Lecture, beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Kresge Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery will present de la Mancha: Laster Out First: Sculptures and Community Collaborations by Bridget Beck, a new gallery exhibition of drawings, large-scale sculptures and collaborations, from Friday, Oct. 16 - Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015. A homecoming reception is set for Friday, Oct. 16, with artist's talks at 12 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Augiethon is proud to be hosting the Langskip 5K Race on Saturday, Oct. 17 on the Augustana campus for the 2015 Viking Days! All proceeds from this race will benefit Sanford Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network in Sioux Falls.
This fall's theme of the Augustana Academy for Seniors is "Tough Jobs: Communicators for Crime, Injury and Genetics." The Department of Criminal Investigation, Sanford Health and Sanford Imagenetics program are represented.
