SIOUX FALLS – Three ensembles will be featured during the 2008 Augustana Fall Band Concert Friday, November 7.

The Augustana Band, the Augustana College/Community Concert Band, and the Augustana Wind Ensemble will perform beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Brandon Performing Arts Center, Brandon, S.D. The concert is free.

This year the Augustana College/Community Concert Band is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The ensemble’s 2008 edition consists of 50 college students and 70 community members. Community membership ranges from high school students to those individuals who are retired.

Performance selections for the Augustana Band include:
Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by J.S. Bach/Transcribed by Donald Hunsberger
With Pleasure by John Philip Sousa
No Shadow of Turning by David R. Gillingham

Performance for the Augustana Wind Ensemble:
Roma Sacra by Luigi Zaninelli
American Hymnsong Suite by Dwayne S. Milburn

Performance selections for the Augustana College/Community Band include:
The Gallant Seventh March by John Philip Sousa
Egmont Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven/Cacavas
The Syncopated Clock by Leroy Anderson

All three ensembles are under the direction of Dr. Bruce T. Ammann.
