Dr. Daniel Siedell Critiques, Lecture and Chapel Talk
Dr. Daniel Siedellwill be coming to Augustana College to speak on contemporary art and Christianity. His first presentation will be at 10:00 at the Augustana Chapel of Reconciliation on the work of Enrique Martinez Celaya. Later, Siedell will speak on his latest book God in the Gallery at 12:00 noon in the Humanities Center, Room 123.
Dr. Siedell is Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art History, Theory, and Criticism at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He has curated numerous exhibitions of contemporary artists, including Enrique Martíne Celaya, Nancy Friedmann, Nic Nicosia, Conrad Bakker, Charley Friedman, Mike Cloud, and Chris Ware.
Dr. Siedell’s lectures are sponsored by the Department of Religion and Philosophy, the Art Department, and the Chapel of Reconciliation at Augustana College. Support for these lectures is provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Fund and the Staley Fund at Augustana College.
