Gallery Exhibit Features Dark History of the Hiawatha Asylum

On display in the Center for Western Studies is the "I Have The Honor To Report: Hiawatha Asylum Exhibit," which runs through April 9, 2016. A reception will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, with a gallery talk at 5:15 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Gallery Exhibit to Feature Andy Warhol Prints

For the first time, Augustana's Eide/Dalrymple Gallery will exhibit prints by the iconic American artist Andy Warhol as part of its “Highlights from the Permanent Collection” exhibition, on display Feb. 11 through March 5. A gallery reception and curators' talk is set for 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12. The exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

Prospective students and their parents are invited to "Explore Augustana" for a day designed to acquaint them with the variety of academic and student life opportunities at Augustana through student and parent sessions, a campus tour, faculty discussions and time to discuss the University's scholarship and financial aid programs.

Rendezvous: Presentation on Cambodia

Students present on their various home countries at 3 p.m. on Fridays as part of the Rendezvous Program. The events, which are hosted by the International Program Office and Augustana International Club, are free and open to the public.

Lithic Materials Workshop

The 4th Biennial Lithic Materials Workshop is a two-day informal gathering of professionals and avocationals with an interest in all things lithic (or archeology in general). The Feb. 19-20 event in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre is hosted by the Augustana Archeology Laboratory and the South Dakota Archaeological Society, and is free and open to all.

Third Sunday Archeology: "Folsom Adaptations to Bison Hunting”

February's installment of Augustana's Third Sunday Archeology Program will feature speaker Dr. K.C. Carlson, on the topic “Folsom Adaptations to Bison Hunting: A Comparison of Northern and Southern Plains Arroyo Trap Kills” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21, in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.

Theatre: Claire Donaldson New Play Festival

The Augustana Department of Performing and Visual Arts will host the Claire Donaldson New Play Festival Thursday, Feb. 25-Saturday Feb. 27, in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre. The Festival features student-written plays.
