“A Flea in Her Ear” is a classic French sex farce, inspiring a long line of imitators, none of which have been nearly as drop-dead funny as the original. In this Augustana production, the action is moved from the late 1800’s to the wildly loose 1960’s. Much of the action takes place in the sleazy Pussycat Hotel, where there’s an abundance of mistaken identities, narrow misses, many slamming doors and a magically revolving bed.
The production is directed by Dan Workman with set design by Rj Fitzsimmons and costumes by Jennifer Shouse-Klassen.
Cast members include: Kelsey Acers (Sioux Falls), Matthew Cook (Adrian, MN), Will Dietzler (Fargo, ND), Sonia Halbach (Devils Lake, ND), Tyler Hecht (Centerville, SD), Leighland Hooks (Blomkest, MN), Jon Josten (Carson City, NV), Justin Klassen (Sioux Falls), Casey Ring (North Saint Paul, MN), Caleb Ruppert (Marshall, MN), Martha Stai (Inwood, IA), Kayla Straub (Ashland, MO), Jacinta Sutphin (Worden, MT), and Bob Wendland (Arlington, SD).
