Alumna to Present Public Lecture on Christianity at the Intersections
SIOUX FALLS, SD – Caryn Riswold, class of 1993, returns to campus on March 11 to give a public lecture.
Christianity at the Intersections is the title of her presentation scheduled for 10:00 a.m. in the Humanities Center, room 123. Riswold will be signing copies of her latest book, Feminism and Christianity: Questions and Answers in the Third Wave, following her lecture.
This event is sponsored by the Thomas F. Staley Foundation, the Chapel of Reconciliation, and the Department of Religion, Philosophy and Classics.
Riswold is an associate professor of Religion, Gender and Women’s Studies at Illinois College. She majored in religion and English at Augustana, graduating with cum laude distinction.
She did her graduate work at the Claremont School of Theology and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. In 2007 she received the Ambassador Award from the Illinois College Alumni Association for representation of the college through service and work in the greater community. She is also the recipient of the James A. Roehm Outstanding Advisor Award.
