Dec. 16: Memorial Fund-Raiser for Tracy Riddle
The Global Education House cordially invites you to a Tracy Riddle memorial fund-raiser from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at the Global Education House (corner of 28th St. and Norton Ave.) to honor the life and achievements of Tracy Riddle and the profound effect she had on the Augustana community.
Hors d'oeuvres, desserts and beverages will be served throughout with the evening. Vice President for Student Services Dr. Jim Bies will speak in memory of Tracy at 8 p.m., followed by the dedication of a plaque into the foundation of the Global Education House to inspire future generations of residents.

Tracy Riddle, Augustana’s long-time associate dean of students, died July 22, at Sanford Hospice after a two-year-long battle with cancer. She was 54. A native of El Centro, Calif., Riddle received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pacific in Stockton, Calif., and her master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. She joined Augustana in 1990 and was instrumental in leading the College's student housing program. She was also involved in significant ways with developing Augustana’s co-curriculum. In April 2011, she received the Augie Pride award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the College. Riddle is survived by her mother, Phyllis Jopes, and her brother, Gene Riddle. A memorial service and celebration of Riddle’s life was held on July 26 at Augustana’s Chapel of Reconciliation.
