Students present on their various home countries at 3 p.m. on Fridays as part of the Rendezvous Program. The events, which are hosted by the International Program Office and Augustana International Club, are free and open to the public.
Augustana's Eide/Dalrymple Gallery will present "The Beautiful Symmetry of Bones: An Osseous Extravaganza," a new exhibit exploring the sculptural artistry hidden under our skin. The show will feature skulls of both modern and extinct creatures, as well as a reconstruction of a 'Mammoth Bone Hut' and bison bone mobiles created by students in Augustana's "Museum Methods" class. The exhibit will be on display March 27-April 21. A gallery reception is set for 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 31.
Augustana University will host the kick-off event for the 2017 Big Squeeze, a community-wide high blood pressure awareness initiative, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3, in the Siverson Lounge, located inside Morrison Commons.
Three Augustana professors will lead discussions about society, politics, surveillance and history following a showing of the film "1984," directed by Michael Radford and based on the best-selling dystopian novel by George Orwell.
Augustana Performing & Visual Arts will present the stage production of “Mother Courage and Her Children” by Bertolt Brecht at 7:30 p.m. April 5-8 in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.
The Knutson Master Series at Augustana will present The Hegg Brothers at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, in Kresge Recital Hall. This event is free and open to the public. Learn more about this event, and future Master Series presentations throughout the 2016-17 academic year.
Augustana is hosting the 18th annual Mathematics on the Northern Plains Undergraduate Conference on Saturday, April 8. At this conference, undergraduates have an opportunity to present results of their mathematical research or projects, in the form of 20-minute talks or with posters. Activities include student presentations, an invited talk, lunch, a Math Jeopardy, and a discussion about Opportunities in Mathematics.
The Augustana Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Jungho Kim, will present the annual Concerto-Aria Concert, featuring the 2017 Concerto-Aria winners, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, at the Washington Pavilion.
