In honor of “South Dakota 2014 Art Exhibit and Sale: Observing the State's 125th Anniversary," a Center for Western Studies juried art exhibit and sale of original works of art by current and past residents observes the state's 125th anniversary of statehood.
This fall's theme of the Augustana Academy for Seniors is "Celebrating South Dakota's 125th Year: Examining Three Companies that Started, Remained and Prospered in South Dakota." The companies of Daktronics, Raven Industries and SDN Communications are represented.

Froemke Chemistry Lecture Series presents "After Augie: Adventures in Graduate School, Industry and Beyond" with Dr. Mark Viste ’92 at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, in the Gilbert Science Center. A reception will be held beginning at 3:30 in the Pendulum Lounge. The reception and lecture are free and open to the public.
