A two-day seminar for pastors and preachers, Nov. 1-2, will pair attendees with resources designed to help them share and live out biblical texts. Alumna Jenee Woodard '80, creator of TextWeek, and Pastor Mary Brown, director of congregational relations for LSS of MN, will look ahead at this fall's texts with attendees on the Augustana campus.

Jenee Woodard '80
Founder of TextWeek

Jenee Woodard is the founder and editor of www.textweek.com, an online indexing resource for clergy, teachers and students of the Bible. TextWeek receives more than two million pageviews each month from viewers around the world. Woodard is a graduate of Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Miss, and Augustana in Sioux Falls, S.D. She lives in Jackson, Mich.

Pastor Mary Brown served as a member of the creative team that launched the WorkingPreacher.org website and now edits a weekly lectionary column, ON Scripture, which appears on The Huffington Post Religion page, Sojourners, Day1, Patheos and Odyssey Networks.

A Lutheran pastor with 20 years of congregational experience, she currently serves as the Director of Congregational Relations for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. She is a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., and Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minn.

From Interstate 29:
  • Exit east on 41st Street.(Exit 77)
  • Take 41st Street to Kiwanis Ave. (1 mile).
  • Turn left on Kiwanis Ave. & drive north to 33rd Street (.5 mile).
  • Turn right on 33rd and drive east to Grange Ave. (1.2 miles).
  • Turn left on Grange Ave.
  • Turn right into Commons Circle entrance (just past tennis courts).
  • Humanities Center is on the right & the visitor lot is on the left.
From Interstate 229:
  • Exit north on Minnesota Avenue. (Exit 3)
  • Take Minnesota Avenue to 33rd Street (1 mile).
  • Turn left on 33rd and drive west (five blocks) to Grange Ave.
  • Turn right on Grange Ave.
  • Turn right into Commons Circle entrance (just past tennis courts).
