Join us for a menorah lighting at Augustana University to celebrate Hanukkah. The Chabad Jewish Center of South Dakota is organizing the 4 p.m. Sunday event, which includes the lighting of a six-foot menorah at AU’s Froiland Science Complex.
Students present on their various home countries at 3 p.m. on Fridays as part of the Rendezvous Program. The events, which are hosted by the International Program Office and Augustana International Club, are free and open to the public.
The Augustana Student Success Center is hosting an Experience Expo from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the Elmen Center. Students will have the opportunity to learn about study abroad, volunteerism, on-campus employment and leadership opportunities. Attendees will also have a chance to visit with more than 50 area employers about internship and career opportunities.
Augustana Performing and Visual Arts will host the Claire Donaldson New Play Festival at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, through Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.. The Festival features student-written plays. Tickets purchased for one night are good for all three nights.
The Augustana Band and the Augustana Orchestra chamber ensembles will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, in Kresge Recital Hall.
Jeff Coffin, a Grammy award-winning saxophonist for the Dave Mathews Band, will join the Augustana Northlanders Jazz Band and bands from area high schools and middle schools during the 44th annual Jazz on the Upper Great Plains Festival, set for March 5-6 at Augustana's Kresge Recital Hall.
The next two-day Sanford Institute of Philanthropy at Augustana University is scheduled for April 12-13.
Augustana Performing & Visual Arts will present the stage production of “The Addams Family Musical” by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, at 7:30 p.m. on April 25-28 and 2:30 p.m. on April 29 in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.
