Join us for Augustana Night at the Canaries! Augustana University and the Sioux Falls Canaries will be celebrating Augustana, and our 2018 National Championship baseball team, on Wednesday, Aug. 29, as the Canaries take on the Gary SouthShore RailCats at 7:05 p.m.

Ticket Info

  • Faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends of Augustana are invited to attend this special night at a reduced ticket price of $5. Upgraded seats are also available for $10.
  • Reserve your tickets today. PLEASE NOTE: Tickets reserved online will be preassigned by the Canaries ticket office and will be available at the will-call window the night of the game. If you wish to purchase a specific seat, please call the Canaries at 605.336.6060 or email them at and mention Augustana Night.

Current AU students

  • All current AU student tickets are FREE. Augustana’s new students will be guests of the Canaries and friends of Augustana University as a part of Welcome Week. Returning student tickets will be compliments of Augustana Student Association, UBG, the Center for Campus Life, and university friends. More details to come.
  • For current AU students, free transportation will be available from the Commons Circle near Morrison Commons (30th Street & Grange Avenue).

There will be a variety of Viking-themed fun throughout the evening, including:

  • An appearance by the 2018 DII College World Series Champions — Augustana student athletes and Coach Tim Huber
  • Drawings by faculty for $1,000 scholarships to Augustana (available for children 5-18 and current AU students)
  • The Augustana Choir performing the national anthem
  • President Stephanie Herseth Sandlin throwing out the first pitch
  • Appearances by AU alumni Laurel Prieb '77, VP-Major League Baseball, and Mel Antonen '79, baseball analyst for MLB Network, Sirius-XM and
  • An appearance by Ole and Cagey
  • Other special events to be announced
