We continue Year 17 of the Augustana Academy for Seniors. Chosen speakers contribute their thoughts, experiences and insights on topics where they have demonstrated knowledge and experience.

CANCELED: Wednesday, March 18: Jeff Hanson '80 and Jim Clark '73 — Public Art and the Dream of a Better City: The Story of SculptureWalk and the Arc of Dreams; how this art program has been elevated to national prominence.
CANCELED: Wednesday, April 15: Dr. David O'Hara — AU's director of sustainability (and Department Chair and Professor of Philosophy, Classics, and Environmental Studies) will speak about the campus-wide plan to integrate sustainability into AU's curriculum, its co-curricular initiatives, operations and identity.

Wednesday, Feb. 19: Cheryl Swanson and Sharon Gray — Cybersafety & You. Both longtime experts in technology, Cheryl is Augustana's Help Desk Coordinator, and Sharon is AU's Instructional Technologist. They spoke about scams and predators that target your computers and smartphones. Attendees learned how to avoid the threats.
