CANCELED: Summer Scholars
Date: June 11 - June 14, 2018
The Summer Scholars program has been canceled for 2018 due to low registration numbers. Augustana and the Sioux Falls School District will continue to explore opportunities for similar programming in the future.
At Summer Scholars, students in grades K-12 are challenged to stretch their imaginations, curiosity, thinking skills, confidence and communication skills.
A partnership between Augustana University and the Sioux Falls School District, Summer Scholars gives learners a chance to exercise their “brain muscles.” A unique feature for high school students is the opportunity to experience firsthand what college professors expect from their students in terms of writing, research and scientific inquiry.
With session topics ranging from "Game Theory" to "Breakout Rooms," "Coding," Dance," "Biology," "the Early College Experience" and more, there is something for every learner!
Sessions run from 8:30 - 10 a.m. and 10:15 - 11:45 a.m. each day, Monday – Thursday.
Cost is $50 for one session or $90 for two sessions. There may be additional supply fees for some sessions.
For questions regarding sessions, please contact the Student Support Services Office at 605.367.4283.
