Augustana Performing and Visual Arts will host the Claire Donaldson New Play Festival at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, through Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.

Claire Donaldson was a 2000 Augustana graduate passionate about the art of playwriting. The festival was founded in her honor.

Thursday Feb. 22

We present a staged reading of Chameleon Love by W. James Wood. Chameleon Love explores familial relationships, and that "Love has a partner in crime: forgiveness."

Short plays selected from submissions for an exciting evening of original works.

Saturday, Feb. 24

Theatrical Genesis — Works written, rehearsed and performed within 24 hours. The night before, the theatrical teams will be divided and given the information, they start to work right away and, at 7:30 p.m., the works are presented for the audience. A process that will have you awestruck, laughing and crying.
