  • Commencement Weekend

    Commencement events honoring the Class of 2013 will be held May 23-25 on campus. Learn more about the President's Social, Senior Celebration, the Reception for Civitas Graduates, the Nurse Pinning Ceremony, Baccalaureate and the Commencement Ceremony.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • Vespers on SDPB to Feature 'Song of Luke' Dec. 24

    Vespers was held on Dec. 3-4 in the Chapel of Reconciliation and featured the Augustana Choir, faculty and members of the South Dakota Symphony, and Cyprian Consiglio. The production will be broadcast on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on South Dakota Public Broadcasting channels throughout the region.

  • Augustana Presents Holiday Jam With the Hegg Brothers

    The concert is one in a series of events designed to celebrate the College’s 150th anniversary. The event will mark the Twin Cities debut of the Heggs’ Holiday Jam concert series.

  • Author to Discuss '(re)Defining Borders' at Annual Luncheon

    In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Center for Western Studies will host its annual Members and Friends Christmas Luncheon on Saturday, Dec.11. Dr. Patrick Hicks, Augustana’s Writer-in-Residence, will present “Harvesting Words, (re)Defining Borders and the Making of a Book.”

    The Augustana Bands present their Christmas Extravaganza at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Washington Pavilion, featuring the Brass Choir, the Augustana Band and the College/Community Band.

  • Wright to Discuss Economic Challenges Dec. 7

    “Dying by Degrees: The Economics of FUBAR,” a program by Dr. Robert Wright, will discuss causes and potential cures for the economy’s most troubled areas. The event begins at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Center for Western Studies.

    The Christmas Choral Celebration with The Augustana Orchestra at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls is SOLD OUT. This all new event will feature the orchestra and four student choirs.

    The “40th Anniversary Exhibition: Art from the CWS Collection” displays a wide range of artists, media, styles and genres, including a rare painting by Mt. Rushmore sculptor Gutzon Borglum.
