• Sesquicentennial Day


    Augustana will mark the celebration of its 150th anniversary, and the beginning of the 2010-2011 academic year, on Sesquicentennial Day, Wednesday, Sept. 8.

  • Football Clinic for Women Set for August 28


    The fifth annual women's football clinic will be Saturday, August  28 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Viking players and coaches will be on hand to instruct interested women in the game of football. A portion of proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

  • Festival of Tables


    This one is for the ladies! The CWS Festival of Tables on Saturday, August 14, includes a salad lunch, an entertaining program, and a chance to win prizes. Tania Hicks will present her personal journey entitled “From the UK to the US: An Immigrant’s Tale.”

    Archeology Days, funded in part by the Archeology Lab of Augustana College, are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 10 and 11, at the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village in Mitchell, SD.

    The images of JoAnne Bird: A Retrospective Exhibition Art Show and Sale will be on display in the Center for Western Studies’ Fantle Building through Saturday, September 25.

    Keynote speakers for 2010 Lighting The Way conference are Dr. Stephen Shore and Dr. Cathy Pratt. There are 35 breakout sessions covering education, medical, and adolescent and adult topics.

    Eastbank Art Gallery announces a new limited edition Giclee, Believers Looking Forward by Robert Aldern, an Artist in Residence at Augustana and emeritus professor of Art. The work of Kiel Mutschelknaus, a 2007 Augustana graduate, is also showcased.
