  • Commencement Weekend

    Commencement events honoring the Class of 2013 will be held May 23-25 on campus. Learn more about the President's Social, Senior Celebration, the Reception for Civitas Graduates, the Nurse Pinning Ceremony, Baccalaureate and the Commencement Ceremony.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • Nov. 19: Scholarship and Financial Information Night

    Augustana will host a Scholarship and Financial Aid Information Night on Monday, Nov. 19. Registration for the session begins at 6:45 p.m. in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre. Scholarship application tips, local scholarship information, Financial Aid 101and Internet resources will be provided.

  • Nov. 18: Trombone Concert

    The Augustana College and Community Trombone Choir, under the direction of Vance Shoemaker, will present a concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, in Kresge Recital Hall. The concert will feature works by various artists including, "Jupiter" from "The Planets," by Gustav Holst; "Suite for Four Trombones," by Gordon Jacob; "A Song for Japan," by Steven Verhelst; and an arrangement of Klaus Badelt's "Pirates of the Caribbean" by Augustana alumnus Jeremy Hegg, class of 1994.

  • Nov. 17: Center for Western Studies' Fall Workshop Series

    The second “Saturdays at CWS” workshop series features Dr. Loren H. Amundson, author of "Norwegians, Swedes and More," presenting on "Gathering Family – A Guide to Genealogical Research,”  from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. The workshop is free however, registration is required.

  • Through Dec. 12: Gallery Features 'Nordic Requiem and Other Dreams'

    The exhibit "Nordic Requiem and Other Dreams: Printmaking by Chad Nelson" at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery runs through Wednesday, Dec. 12. While this exhibition includes several examples of watercolor paintings, Nelson is particularly known for his work in traditional printmaking techniques and is a 1995 graduate of Augustana.

  • Nov. 15: Linguist, Writer Deborah Fallows to Share Lessons on 'Life, Love and Language'

    Nationally known writer and linguist Deborah Fallows will share lessons on life, love and language in a special presentation at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, in Augustana's Chapel of Reconciliation. The event, presented by the Augustana International Club, coincides with Augustana's International Theme Year and International Education Week.

  • Nov. 14: Native American Experience in Dakota Territory Focus for Fall Academy for Seniors

    Augustana College presents the Fall 2012 Academy for Seniors program, "Perspectives on the Native American Experience in Dakota Territory," featuring Sister Ann Kessler on Wed., Nov. 14.

  • Nov. 14-18: Theatre Season Opens With "Inspecting Carol"

    The laugh-out-loud "Inspecting Carol," a play about a Midwestern theatre company’s annual production of the Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol" opens Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Edith Mortenson Theatre.

  • Nov. 13: Students to Present Opera Theatre

    Selections from Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro," "The Secret Marriage" by Domenica Cimarosa and "The Elixer of Love" by Gaetano Donizetti will be featured in the fall presentation by Augustana's Opera Theatre program, set for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Kresge Recital Hall.

  • Nov. 10: 2nd Annual Reading Marathon to Read Fitzgerald's 'Gatsby'

    On Saturday, Nov. 10, the Alpha Xi Mu chapter of Sigma Tau Delta (the international honors society for English majors and minors) will host its second annual Reading Marathon beginning at 10 a.m. in the Siverson Lounge. This year, they will read F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" aloud.

  • Nov. 10: Band Festival Concert to Feature Area Musicians

    The 55th annual Augustana College Band Festival Concert will be held in the Mary V. Sommervold Hall of the Washington Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10. The Festival features nearly 350 musicians from area high schools.
