Larson Track & Field Complex

One of the Momentum Augustana campaign prorities for Investing in Athletic Excellence is the Larson Track & Field Complex and Vance Butler Field Events Area. The new complex will be built on the east side of Grange Avenue across from the Elmen Center and located just north of the Augustana Soccer Field. Construction preparation began with the trees lining the east side of Grange Avenue being removed and the existing hill reduced.

The Larson Track & Field Complex will be a one-of-a-kind facility that will serve as the new training home of the Augustana track and field program. Located between 33rd and 37th streets, across from the Elmen Center, the new facility will feature an eight-lane, 300-meter  Beynon surface track; long jump and triple jump runway and pole vault; throws area and 100 yards of interior turf.

Linda Larson provided the lead gift for the new on-campus track, named the Larson Track &  Field Complex to honor the memories of her father, William "Billy" Larson, and her sister, Kathie Larson.
