Donnelly and Puthoff Named FCA Honor Athletes

SIOUX FALLS – Augustana senior student-athletes Jason Donnelly (Elk Point, SD) and Amy Puthoff (Hartford, SD) swept the college awards at the 38th annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Honor Athlete Luncheon.
Donnelly started for two years at defensive back for the Vikings and in 2008 led the team with five interceptions. He is majoring in elementary education and will graduate summa cum laude in May.
He was named to the College Division Academic All-America first team by CoSIDA/ESPN in 2008. Jason is the son of Sheila Boermann and Tony Donnelly.
Puthoff earned all-conference honors three years during a stellar career with the women’s basketball team. She is ninth on the Vikings’ all-time scoring list with 1,384 points and fourth in 3-pointers with 207.
She is an FCA huddle leader, a participant in the NCAA Division II Leadership conference, and a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Lutheran Social Services, and The Salvation Army. She is an elementary education major and will graduate in May. Amy is the daughter of Kim and Dave Puthoff.
