Candidates chosen for Viking Days King and Queen

SIOUX FALLS – Ten Augustana seniors have been nominated to serve as King and Queen for Viking Days 2009.
The final voting by students is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, with coronation set for 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, in the Elmen Center.
“There’s No Place Like Home” is the theme for Viking Days 2009, October 16-18. In a departure from the past, most events will be held on campus this year, including the homecoming parade.

Blake Thompson is majoring in business administration. He is the son of Jana and Vance Thompson.
Bob Wendland is majoring in theatre and communication studies. He is the son of Rebecca and Keith Wendland.
Kelsey Acers is majoring in music education. She is the daughter of Becky and Terry Acers.
Melissa Austad is majoring in English and secondary education. She is the daughter of Denise and David Austad.

Marie Halvorson is a communication/business major. She is the daughter of Nancy and Randolph Halverson.
