Elmen Center Update
This Thursday evening's Sioux Falls Next Town Hall Meeting, sponsored by Argus Leader Media, KSFY-TV and Augustana will be held as planned beginning with KSFY's 6:00 news being broadcast live from the Elmen Center. Athletic practices will resume in the Elmen Center and the Sanford Gym on Friday, October 23. The Volleyball matches on Friday night and Saturday afternoon will be held as scheduled in the Hall Sports Forum, October 23 and 24.

College officials remind the community that the Elmen Center will be closed for use on Saturday and after Viking Days worship on Sunday.

The Office of Academic Affairs has announced that classes regularly scheduled for the Elmen Center will be relocated to other buildings during the week of October 19. Students will be notified by the Registrar through e-mail.

College officials have announced that Sunday's Viking Days Worship service will still be held in the Elmen Center's Hall Sports Forum. The worship will begin at the regularly scheduled time of 10:30 a.m.

SIOUX FALLS – All classes, student activities, and athletic practices in the Elmen Center were cancelled for Friday after fire was discovered in a sauna Thursday night.
The fire was contained in the area of the men’s locker room on the main floor of the Elmen Center, which opened in 1989. Smoke damage was reported throughout the structure.
Athletic Director Bill Gross said Friday the building is closed until further notice. Included is the Sanford Practice Gym on the second floor.
With the exception of Sunday worship, no other Viking Days activities were scheduled in the Elmen Center. College officials will determine Friday where homecoming worship will be held.
Faculty and staff were scheduled to pick up tickets Friday in the Elmen Center for Saturday’s homecoming football game with Upper Iowa. Ticket pickup will now take place in the Morrison Commons Siverson Lounge from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Cleanup in the Elmen Center is underway.
