SIOUX FALLS – Stan Krebs, who graduated from Augustana in 1975, has joined the College’s Office of Development as director of major gifts.
Krebs will be based in the Twin Cities, working with current donors and cultivating prospective donors within the greater metropolitan area. Through this fundraising position, Krebs will help meet Augustana’s strategic plan directive to accelerate donor participation and major gift work throughout the Twin Cities region as the College prepares to launch Momentum Augustana, its comprehensive fundraising campaign.
“I am very excited to be joining the development staff at Augustana,” Krebs said. “My wife and I both feel so strongly about the College and the education we received there. I am looking forward to utilizing my experience in sales to make an impact and help the College grow.”
Prior to accepting the appointment at Augustana, Krebs worked as a senior account executive for Harland Clarke, a Texas firm providing financial document and software services to banks, credit unions, and savings banks throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and western Wisconsin.
In October, Krebs was inducted into the Augustana Athletic Hall of Fame. An outstanding basketball player, he was named to the All-North Central Conference first team in 1975 and was an All-NCC Tournament selection in 1974. He was an All-NCC Academic choice in 1974-75 and graduated cum laude.
Krebs and his wife, Karen, who graduated from Augustana in 1977, live in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, 20 miles northeast of St. Paul.
