Augustana Community Mourns Loss of Concordia President
Monday, June 14, 2010
The Augustana College community is mourning the loss of our friend and colleague, Dr. Pamela Jolicoeur, president of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. Pam passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2010.
A passionate, courageous and innovative leader, Pam was instrumental in helping Concordia College reach new levels of excellence. Her work on Concordia’s unprecedented capital campaign paved the way for the construction of the Knutson Campus Center and, under her leadership, the College established visionary new initiatives in the sciences and bolstered the efforts of the Concordia College School of Business. She was, in every sense of the word, a champion for thousands of students pursuing higher education. In her personal life, she was a loving and dedicated mother, wife and friend to many.
We will miss her immensely.
Our thoughts, deepest sympathies and prayers are with the students, faculty and staff of Concordia and with Pam’s family. May God give you peace during these difficult days and may your hearts find comfort in the loving memories of this exceptional woman.
