Ladies Day to Feature An Evening with Garrison Keillor

SIOUX FALLS—Tickets are on sale for the second annual Ladies’ Day at Augustana College, featuring “An Evening with Garrison Keillor.”
The event on Sunday, Oct. 17, begins at 3:00 p.m. with a coffee reception and a tour of campus art exhibits. A worship service begins at 4:00 p.m., followed by supper at the Chatterbox Café, à la Augustana, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Following supper, attendees will travel to the Washington Pavilion for the 7:00 p.m. show, featuring Garrison Keillor.
Tickets are $65 per person and are on sale at www.augietickets.com.
As creator and host of A Prairie Home Companion, as well as a best-selling author, Keillor has made Lake Wobegon everyone’s hometown. Today, A Prairie Home Companion is heard by more than 4 million listeners each week on 590 public radio stations, and abroad on America One and the Armed Forces Networks in Europe and the Far East. Keillor recalls, "When the show started, it was something funny to do with my friends, and then it became an achievement that I hoped would be successful, and now it's a good way of life."

In 2009, 150 area women attended Augustana’s inaugural Ladies’ Day, an event that featured the acclaimed musical comedy, “Church Basement Ladies.”
