Operatic Bouquet to Feature Excerpts from Five Operas

The Department of Performing & Visual Arts at Augustana College will present “Love’s Many Faces: An Operatic Bouquet,” a special vocal event directed by Dr. Lisa Grevlos. The performance, which features 18 students, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Kresge Recital Hall.

Performers will present excerpts from five different operas by Mozart, Puccini, Donizetti, Delibes and Pasatieri.

Tickets are $5 for the general public and free to students K-12. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 605.274.5320 or online at augietickets.com.

“The performances will be costumed and staged to illustrate the passion and power of these operatic masterpieces. This is an excellent introduction to the world of opera for young people and an exciting showcase for those who already love the grand art form,” said Dr. Ivan Fuller, chair of the Performing & Visual Arts Department.
