7 a.m. MONDAY UPDATE: Last Group of Students Out of Cairo; En Route to Amsterdam

Augustana officials have confirmed that the last group of students and other members of the Augustana Band’s Egyptian Tour, known as the “Cleopatra,” group have left Cairo International Airport, en route to Amsterdam, where they are scheduled to arrive at 10:25 a.m. CST.

This group will fly to Amsterdam, where they will stay overnight, and are scheduled to arrive in Minneapolis on Delta Flight No. 259 at 12:15 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Feb. 1. From Minneapolis, they will fly to Sioux Falls on Delta Flight No. 9857, scheduled to arrive at 4:25 p.m.

Students and tour travelers in the “King Tut” and “Sphinx” groups arrived in Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon and spent the night at two hotels near the airport. These groups are scheduled to arrive in Minneapolis at 12:15 p.m. CST (Delta Flight No. 259) and 4:40 p.m. CST (Delta Flight No. 265), respectively. The group will then fly to Sioux Falls on Delta Flight No. 9857, which is scheduled to arrive in Sioux Falls at 8:41 p.m. A bus will transport the group from Sioux Falls Regional Airport back to campus.
