Show to Feature Songs, Stories in Sign Language

Augustana Deaf Awareness will present "Burst of Sign 2011: In the Spotlight," a movie and Broadway-themed show featuring songs, skits, jokes, and stories in sign language. The entire show will interpreted so everyone can enjoy it, regardless of signing ability.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 8, and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m on Saturday, April 9, in Kresge Recital Hall. Cost is $5 for adults. The event is free for students K-12 and those with a valid Augustana ID.

The event will also include a raffle to raise money and canned goods for the Children’s Inn.

Deaf Awareness is a student group made up of mostly Deaf Education majors, interpreting majors, and communication disorders majors.
