In the News: 200 Attend Business Conference at Augustana

Two hundred local business owners and entrepreneurs attended the third annual Sioux Falls Business Conference earlier today to learn more about “Innovation in a Changing Marketplace.” Held on the Augustana campus, the conference brought together local and regional business experts to discuss the changing Sioux Falls marketplace and recommend how business owners can best plan for success in the future.

Five Augustana alumni and one faculty member were among the panelists and each break-out session was moderated by members of the College’s Business Administration department, including Jason Harris, Shelly Gardner, Dr. Marcia Entwistle, Kevin Buell, Dr. Ryan Sougstad and Dr. Bob Wright, Nef Family Chair of Political Economy.

Jeff Broin, CEO and president of POET, was the morning keynote speaker. Read more about Broin's remarks at the Sioux Falls Business Journal.

For those who couldn't be there, the Sioux Falls Business Journal live-streamed the two featured speakers, Jeff Broin, CEO of POET, and Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether. Replays of the speeches are available on-demand.
