Four Receive Sophomore Honors Awards

Augustana  today announced that rising juniors Kimberly Homan of Marshall, Minn.; Hannah Kuelbs of Clements, Minn.; Brennan Olson of Luck, Wis.; and Erika Zetterlund of St. Cloud, Minn., have been selected to receive the prestigious Sophomore Honors Award.

The Sophomore Honors Award recognizes four representatives of the preceding sophomore class who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at an early stage of their college career. The recipients are selected by the faculty on the basis of scholarship, character, personal traits and other points of achievement.

  • Homan is a communication disorders major and the daughter of Richard and Catherine Homan.
  • Kuelbs is a music and business communications major and the daughter of Doug and Rita Kuelbs.
  • Olson is a biology major and the son of Brian and Karen Olson.
  • Zetterlund is a physics and religion major and the daughter of Allen and Judy Zetterlund.

The recipients will be recognized on Wednesday, Sept. 7, during the Opening Convocation for the 2011-2012 academic year.
