Higher Learning Commission to Visit Campus Oct. 17-21
Monday, October 3, 2011
The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools will review and consider Augustana's reaccreditation during its visit to campus Oct. 17-21.
Augustana has been continuously accredited by the Commission since 1931. The College undergoes a comprehensive visit every 10 years; its last accreditation was in 2001. During the visit, HLC representatives will review the College's self study, gather evidence that it is thorough and accurate, and make a recommendation on Augustana’s accreditation status to the HLC, which takes the final action.
The public is invited to submit comments regarding Augustana's reaccreditation. Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. All comments must be in writing and signed; comments cannot be treated as confidential. Comments may also be filed electronically at www.ncahlc.org.
Please mail written comments to: Public Comment on Augustana College, The Higher Learning Commission, 230 South LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, Ill., 60604.
