  • Hjerpe, Schulte Named 2013 Peace Prize Forum Scholars

    Juniors Alexandra (Allie) Hjerpe (Hutchinson, Minn.) and Mallory Schulte (Yankton, S.D.) have been named the 2013 Peace Prize Forum Scholars. This summer, the two will spend seven weeks at the University of Oslo’s International Summer School deepening their understanding of issues related to peace, justice, democracy and human rights.

    Augustana will host a second concert for "American Idol" winner and top-10 Billboard Hot 100 artist Phillip Phillips at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the Washington Pavilion. Tickets for the public are on sale at the Washington Pavilion box office.

    Ninety-eight percent of Augustana's 2012 graduates seeking employment have accepted a position related to their major or chosen field. In addition, 28 percent are enrolled in, or are planning to enroll in, graduate school.

The honor recognizes chapters who show a commitment to community outreach and service, contributions related to student recruitment and retention, and interaction with alumni.

  • Students Named to Fall 2012 Dean's List

    Augustana recognizes students named to the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. The Dean's List recognizes full-time students who have a minimum of 12 credit hours with grade point averages at 3.5 or above.

  • Augustana Records Blood Donation No. 3,000

    Earlier this week, Augustana recorded its 3,000th donation to the Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank, a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring a safe, reliable supply of blood in Sioux Falls and the region.
