"This is a project that had been considered for a number of years for the primary goals of increasing capacity and modernizing the facility for natural science,” says Rob Oliver, president of Augustana. “It had been dreamt about for a decade, and we had a number of different design solutions. This project is a result of all those dreams."

Surrounded by thousands of their biggest fans — family, friends and professors — 338 graduates participated in the ceremony, held at the Sioux Falls Arena. An additional 87 students graduated in absentia for a total class of 425 graduates.

For the past semester, students in Dr. Jaciel Keltgen’s “Health Care Marketing” class have tracked and analyzed Twitter usage by medical professionals to better understand how social media can link the public to health care professionals.
