  • College Joins Philadelphia Grade School in Pennies for Peace Effort

    A year ago Augustana particpated in the Pennies for Peace campaign, raising $12,000. The drive continues this year and Augustana has teamed up with a sixth grade class in Philadelphia, where Nick Jackson, class of 2008, is teaching.

    Beth Singleton, a senior from Moorhead, MN, has been named winner of the 2009 Augustana Covenant Award for Christian Faith. Beth, a religion and philosophy major, is serving as president of the Augustana Congregation.

  • Augustana presents The Big Music Roll-Out

    The Department of Performing & Visual Arts at Augustana kicks off the season with The Big Music Roll-Out, featuring five music events November 3-8. The events include original compositions, a world premiere, intimate recitals and enormous explosions of sound.

    On Thursday, October 22, city residents are invited to share their opinions about what Sioux Falls should look like in 10, 20, or even 30 years. The hour-long event at Augustana's Elmen Center Hall Forum begins with a live broadcast of KSFY news at 6:00 followed by the Sioux Falls Next Town Hall meeting at 6:30 p.m.
