Eighty-Seven Students Pursuing Studies Abroad

The 2010 January Interim at Augustana (January 4 thru 27) finds 87 students studying on seven continents - Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia/Oceania, and Europe. In addition, 13 Augustana faculty members are teaching courses abroad.

Augustana Junior Receives Scholarship to Study in Austria

Augustana College junior Ryan Lee from Cannon Falls, Minnesota, is the recipient of a Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship. Through the American Institute for Foreign Study, he will spend the spring semester in Salzburg, Austria.

Former Augustana Regent Al Schock dies at age 89

Al Schock, 89, who served 12 years on the Augustana College Board of Regents, died December 27, 2009, of complications from cancer. Schock’s longtime association with Augustana included gifts of time, leadership, and financial support.

Christmas Giving at Augustana

Students are headed home for the holidays, but prior to the campus shutting down, and while they were preparing for final exams, students and staff took the time to make sure those less fortunate would experience some joy this Christmas.
