  • Upcoming Season of 'Time Team America' to Feature Dr. Adrien Hannus

    Dr. Adrien Hannus, professor of anthropology and director of the Archeology Laboratory at Augustana, will participate in the second season of "Time Team America," a science-reality series from PBS that sends archaeologists on a race against time to excavate historic sites around the nation.

  • 346 to Participate in 2012 Commencement

    Three-hundred and forty-six students will participate in the commencement ceremony honoring the class of 2012, set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the Sioux Falls Arena. Doors will open at 1 p.m. for seating.

  • Student Authors, Artists Featured in Venture 2012

    Works by 14 student authors and artists are featured in Venture 2012, Augustana's literary and artistic magazine. Copies of the magazine are $10 and are available at the Mikkelsen Library's circulation desk.

  • Business Club Students to Attend Meeting With Warren Buffett

    Thanks to a donation from members of  the Sioux Falls business community, student members of the Augustana Business Club will have a chance to participate in a Q&A with legendary investor Warren Buffett. The students will be attending Berkshire Hathaway's Annual Shareholder's Meeting this weekend in Omaha, Neb.

  • Preston Receives 2011-12 Faculty Recognition Award

    Dr. Margaret Preston, associate professor and chair of the History Department, is the recipient of the Augustana Student Association (ASA) 2011-2012 Faculty Recognition Award. The award recognizes outstanding teaching and contributions to the Augustana community by a faculty member.

  • Augustana Mourns Loss of Professor Emeritus Dr. V.R. Nelson

    Long-time professor of Physics and Aeronautics Dr. V. Ronald Nelson, class of 1944, passed away on Saturday, April 28. He was 91. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, at First Lutheran Church, 327 S. Dakota Ave., in Sioux Falls.
