As Augustana celebrates the 100th anniversary of its move to Sioux Falls, and in honor of Verdier 2018, the annual, week-long celebration of the University's five core values, we caught up with past Covenant Award recipients who are living and working in the city to learn how the moral compass each student develops at Augustana continues to guide them in their lives today. We learned that these alumni continue to build community, reach out to those in need, provide ministry, pursue excellence and celebrate the liberal arts.
Augustana, Central Lakes Establish Articulation Agreement for Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting Students
Augustana University and Central Lakes College (CLC) have established an articulation agreement that allows CLC students to transfer in to the University's sign language interpreting major and earn a bachelor's degree from Augustana.
The 2018 Augustana Covenant Award nominees were recognized on Monday, April 16, during worship in the Chapel of Reconciliation.
Due to severe weather, a number of locations on campus are closed and some events have been canceled.
The gift will be used toward the establishment of an endowed chair in anthropology/archeology and will support outstanding teaching, scholarship and service.
In planning for the upcoming Burst of Sign event, members of Augustana's Deaf Awareness Club find an opportunity for creative expression and community building.
