Augustana Launches Accelerated Nursing Program
Augustana today announced its new Accelerated Nursing Program.
The 16-month, post-baccalaureate program is a full-time plan of study designed for students who have a college degree and have completed the prerequisite courses.
Competitively priced, the program will allow graduates to begin a career in nursing, a field that is projected to grow by 19 percent between 2012 and 2022 – faster than the average of all occupations in the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Students in the Accelerated Nursing Program will receive the same quality, face-to-face instruction from Augustana's renowned Nursing faculty as students in the traditional program, and can expect the same results. For the past two years in a row, Augustana nursing graduates have recorded a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination and a 100 percent job placement rate.
Applications for the first cohort, which will begin in the fall, are due by Tuesday, April 15.
