U.S. News ranked Augustana No. 3 among the "Best Regional Colleges in the Midwest" and gave the University high marks on its analysis of "Best Value" colleges and universities. AU was also ranked No. 2 among "Best Regional Colleges for Veterans"

The University is listed among 156 premier institutions The Princeton Review recommends in its "Best in the Midwest" category of the website feature, "2017 Best Colleges: Region by Region."
