#AugieMadness Video Series Earns National Award

The #AugieMadness video series developed to share the story of the 2016 men's DII national basketball championship has earned a Gold W3 Award, a national recognition of creative excellence on the web, as judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

Organizers said nearly 5,000 entries were submitted by some of the best interactive agencies, designers and creators worldwide.

“We were once again blown away at the creativity and quality of this year’s entrant. As our connected world continues to expand in new and exciting ways, our winners are a true testament to the power of Web creativity around the globe.” said Linda Day, the director of the IAVA. “On behalf of the 750-plus members of the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, we salute the talents and high level of execution our winners display and commend all of this year’s entrants for their dedication and commitment to online excellence.”

The videos, shot on-site in Frisco, Texas, were developed by Mud Mile Communications in collaboration with Augustana's marketing and athletics departments.
