The Princeton Review Tabs Augustana Among the 'Best in the Midwest'

Augustana is listed among 158 premier institutions The Princeton Review recommends in its recently released "Best in the Midwest" feature.

The Princeton Review, a nationally known education services company, has again ranked Augustana among the best colleges in the Midwest. The College is listed among 158 premier institutions The Princeton Review recommends in its "Best in the Midwest" section of its website feature, "2015 Best Colleges: Region by Region."

"We selected these colleges primarily based on our high opinion of their academics," The Princeton Review said on its website. "We monitor colleges continuously and annually collect data on more than 2,000 schools. Each year we also visit scores of schools, and meet with or talk to hundreds of college administrators. We pay close attention to feedback we get about colleges from students, parents, educators and our own staff at Princeton Review locations across the country. We also value the opinions of our college counselors and advisors, particularly our 35-member National College Counselor Advisory Board."

The rankings are based on surveys of students about their school's academics, administration, student body and themselves.

The 158 colleges The Princeton Review chose for its "Best in the Midwest" list are located in 12 states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Earlier this month, Augustana was ranked among the nation’s best colleges and universities nationwide according to Forbes’ annual list of “America’s Top Colleges.”
