The Nordland Heritage Foundation provides an outstanding series of camps for children, adolescents and adults.
- Learn Norwegian, Swedish or Spanish
For students who have completed 1st grade through age 12, these 5-day, three hours-per-day camps will introduce children to Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish. In addition to learning basic vocabulary, the children will learn about the cultures and foods of the respective countries and participate in recreational activities related to the languages.

- Children’s Introductory Spanish Camp: July 15-19, 1-4 p.m.

We are also offering 3-day, introductory/review camps for adults that will also run for three hours per day. The emphasis will be on vocabulary but with cultural and cuisine insights, as well. These camps are ideal for planning to travel to the countries where the language is spoken, as well as for reconnecting with one’s roots.

The genealogy camps are funded in part by the Mary Chilton Foundation of the South Dakota Daughters of the American Revolution.
